Slideshow of a presentation on social media student recruitment and engagement. Audience: Ffaculty and staff at the University of Washington.
Really good overview in this presentation, and thanks for the mention on slide 41! Curious to hear what the context for this meeting was? In other words, was this a mandatory meeting, or sort of like a brown bag lunch? Colleges around the country have been having similar ones as well.
Hi @tzanders. Graduate Program Coordinators and Advisors from UW were invited–about 60ish attended. As you know, folks are hungry for social media and how to use it in higher ed, especially to engage students! As a result, a few departments have asked for smaller workshop-type sessions. They know that social media is here to stay–at least as far as folks can predict. It’s fun helping folks along in these areas 🙂
